Opportunity:

After the acquisition of another global company, Volvo needed to ensure new and existing employees from multiple global regions were pulling in the same direction. The company wanted a unifying brochure that was written, designed, printed and globally delivered in three weeks for a company-wide meeting.

JFG Solution:

Met with corporate leaders and interviewed key individuals to write the story properly. Developed the brochure to give employees an understanding of what it means to be a part of the Volvo culture and the new direction. Translated into German, Korean and Chinese.

Results:

  • Accelerated deadline met: all employees worldwide could take part in the simultaneous meeting.
  • More unified understanding of company strategy – by employees in the USA, Canada, Brazil, France, Germany, Poland, India, Korea and China.
  • Helped new employees feel a part of Volvo and less uncertain about their future roles.
