After acquiring a competitor’s product line, Volvo Construction Equipment was ready to introduce a fully-engineered Volvo product as part of the largest product launch in Volvo’s history. Thirty-five new models introduced simultaneously worldwide. Marketing materials needed with continuity and under extremely tight deadlines.

JFG Solution:

JFG traveled to Volvo factories and offices in Germany, South Korea and Asheville, NC, to directly get the story. JFG wrote and designed all the brochures for each excavator model. Instead of using the same copy for each brochure (as had been done in the past), JFG wrote each piece individually to sell the particular strengths of the machine.

Results:

  • All deadlines met: 110+ marketing pieces (brochures, spec sheets, sales cards, PowerPoint presentations, web copy, posters and more).
  • Each laid out / proofread in 7 languages: English, Swedish, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch.
  • User feedback: far more sales substance with less fluff.
