From grape to great.
Opportunity:
A progressive winemaker from the New York Finger Lakes region, Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards sought a professional look for its bottle labels and collateral materials that was more representative of the company’s proud heritage. In comparison to competitors, the label designs appeared cluttered, failing to generate strong consumer interest through retail shelf presence.
JFG Solution:
Hazlitt’s labels were given a cleaner, more tasteful look across the product line, while retaining design elements that were important to the family. To aid consumers in picking white wines vs. red, JFG designed each of the red wines with a unique, yet like-colored palette of reds and blues. White wines featured an earth tone color palette. JFG also redesigned the website and new collateral materials to better reflect the brand.
Results:
- Enhanced sales figures across target markets.
- Saved packaging costs through one-color design bottle seals and back labels.
- Instant shelf and brand recognition.
- Professional design more reflective of each wine’s character and pedigree.
- Increased web traffic and a clearer understanding of who they are.
Testimonial:
"The people at JFG and the relaxed atmosphere of their offices made us feel very comfortable. We knew we made the right choice with a creative group that is in synch with our staff and our customers."
